É lendária a admiração que eu tenho por esta música. Toneladas de arranjos, que mesmo após milhares de audições me continuam a surpreender. É certo que se não fossem as experimentações dos Queen com coros (principalmente no A Night At The Opera) não teríamos hoje em dia os Blind Guardian tal como os conhecemos - Hansi Kürsch multiplicado por mil, arrepia). A Nightfall At Middle Earth é o álbum definitivo da sua carreira, um marco do power metal que ainda não foi superado, tarefa essa quase impossível, arriscaria. Um álbum conceptual sobre uma das obras mais complexas de high-fantasy de sempre (e talvez a primeira) poderia supor que traduzindo para música, o sumo musical seria enfadonho. Nada mais errado e esta Mirror Mirror é a faixa do álbum que mais me apaixona. Empolga (aquele refrão, meu Zeus... a perfeição em forma musical), sossega, tudo com muitas imagens a surgirem da Terra Média. Música com imagens, para um livro com imagens. Perfeição.
É claro que para quem não gosta de Tolkien, ou de high-fantasy, para quem quem não gosta de power metal... tudo isto vale tanto como uma saca de cebolas com grelo. No entanto, para aqueles que se recusam a deixar de morrer a sua parte de criança, para aqueles que vibram com os ecos do passado, um passado em que sonhávamos e não eramos recriminados por isso... esta é a vossa música. Apertem os cintos e bem vindos ao outro lado do espelho.
